Ebin grew up a Colorado Native on the Western Slope in Palisade before heading out to US Navy Boot Camp right after High School graduation. Serving in Jacksonville on the USS Gettysburg and then Pearl Harbor as a Firefighting Instructor he obtained his first EMT certification in 2001. Staying in Hawaii Ebin attended Paramedic training at Kapiolani Community College and worked for a busy 911 EMS system on the island of Oahu. Without a good outlet Ebin encountered and succumb to burn-out and emotional challenges that many of his peers face every day. It wasn't until moving home to Colorado, this time beautiful Steamboat Springs that he fell in love with mountain biking. Discovering the peace and happiness that comes with a long ride in to the back country Ebin was hooked and finally found what he needed to the battle stress and emotional struggles he faced doing his job. These day's you can find Ebin putting up with an uphill climb all in pursuit of a thrill-filled descent! His favorite trails include Waterfall in CB, Haymaker in GJ and of course the hometown classic that is Red Dirt in Steamboat. For 2018 Ebin has goals of competing in an Enduro race somewhere in Colorado and hoping for a top 10 finish. Finding #teamEMS #emsbalance on a mountain bike has been a dream come true for Ebin.
