Katy Watson, RN

Katy initially recognized her interest in pre-hospital medicine while leading trips for her college outdoor program, which inspired her to obtain her EMT certification and go on to take a Wilderness EMT course.  Paramedic school and eventually nursing school followed.  Katy now works for Flight for Life Colorado in Durango, where she is excited to return to the outdoor setting in a professional capacity.  Katy describes herself as a "jack of all trades" type of outdoor enthusiast, dabbling in everything from paddling to technical mountaineering to ultra-running, but her driving passions are climbing, backcountry skiing, and of course, mountain biking.  She is looking forward to using her medical skills with TeamEMS to help other outdoor enthusiasts in need.
